What are the Advantages of a Sea Container Modification ?
Sea Containers offer great flexibility, that the whole Containers is built around its primary Frame which is the Top Rail, 4 Corner Posts, Bottom Rail and Crossmembers in the floor. All of the Walls and roof is cladding that can be modified without compromising the viability of the structure. For sea container modifications, it is always recommended however to re-strengthen any hole in the cladding with a box frame. We like to welded a SHS steel frame into any holes or penetrations we put into the cladding of Containers.
How hard is it to modify a shipping container?
You will need the right tools like heavy duty cutting tools such as a 9inch Grinder and Mig Welder with 3phase Power Supply. This equipment can be quite dangerous if not used by a trained professional and we will always recommend to leave Container Modifications to Trained providers such as Event Studios Australia.
How do I maximise space in a container?
If available, the Highcube container is the best option. Whilst more expensive it raises the internal ceiling by 300mm and creates a much more open space than the Standard Height Containers. When insulating the container, you can use EPS Panel, as a thermal solution that minimises the space lost to insulate the Sea Container.
